James: Or do you suppose that it is for nothing that the scripture says, “God yearns jealously for the spirit that he has made to dwell in us”?

My daughter and I started watching a show called The Big Door Prize. It's about a machine that mysteriously shows up in someone's store. For just $2, you can find out what your true potential is. There are lines out the door with people wanting to discover their true calling.
Perhaps the creator of the show read today's reading. What would happen if we all of a sudden, in middle age, discovered we don't like where we are or what we are doing? Are we living our true calling? Is that the definition of a mid-life crisis?
God knows our potential because that is the spirit She put in us. Our job becomes discovering our true potential and living up to it. Living our fullest, truest lives.
In the show, unrealized dreams become reality. The main character remains skeptical, but what if he is already living his fullest, truest life? What if we have to be reminded of our calling? What if we have to go within to tune into our truest happiness?
Today, Lord, may it bring us comfort that we have all the gifts within us to live our truest, fullest lives. Thank you, Lord.
