Acts: Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John and realized that they were uneducated and ordinary men, they were amazed and recognized them as companions of Jesus.
What an unlikely crew the apostles were. What an unlikely crew we are. We are ordinary, yet we tap into our inner boldness through Christ. What if we lived as if we could never fail? What if we had that kind of boldness, that kind of faith? That is the faith of Abraham and all the greats of the Bible.
Perhaps it is that boldness that makes us do the unimaginable and makes us live up to our true potential. There is an expectancy that comes with the boldness that, when released, is powerful indeed.
I recall a time waking each morning with bold expectations for the day, and it felt like I was invincible like I wore a cape and had superpowers. I'm unsure why that feeling dimmed, but I guess I'm just an ordinary human.
May we wear our capes this day, expecting only good, bold things to happen, and may our superpowers glory our God.
