1 John: All who obey his commandments abide in him, and he abides in them. And by this we know that he abides in us, by the Spirit that he has given us.
The Spirit draws out the best in us, our own unique gifts. Some are artists, shamans, writers, business people, comedians, cartoonists, actors, philosophers.
Our calling is to be our best self, to honor God's Spirit within us, and do God's will as only we can do. No one can do it better than we can. God's will is different for each of us and yet we live our most authentic lives when we live our calling, using our talents along the way, whatever they will be.
Sometimes, at least for me, doubt creeps in or comparisons of how someone else is living or working. Then I look in the center, go within, sit in meditation, and realize (once again) that they have their own path, their own journey, their own Camino. No one can be me better than me. Except perhaps my youngest child who has an innate ability to imitate people. There have been several times when he's imitated me better than me, and it makes me laugh until my sides hurt.
Laughter is always good medicine. May your day be filled with laughter and love.
