2 Corinthians: who has made us competent to be ministers of a new covenant, not of letter but of spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.

The Spirit works in mysterious ways. As I mentioned, two Lents ago, I felt that small inner voice suggest that I break down the verses into chapter and verse and equate it to month and day.

Last night, I went to Mass and the priest started his Homily recalling how he had a day-by-day calendar with Scripture verses for each day. One of the days/verses was, "If you, then will worship me, it will all be yours," which was said by Satan when tempting Jesus in the wilderness. The priest went on to say that that person obviously didn't know Scripture and was only out to make a buck. He said that Scripture needs to be read as a whole, and there's even a word for that process.

I believe that that small inner voice is God/Spirit and I believe that voice to be true. It is the same Spirit that led the Wise Men to Bethlehem, the Apostles, Moses, David, Abraham, etc. It is the same Spirit that you may have heard in your own lives.

I know I spent many years ignoring Spirit, believing others knew what was best for me. It wasn't until I started honoring and obeying Spirit that I started truly living.

May you listen to God/Spirit in your own lives and may you live fully.
