1 Timothy: For everything created by God is good, and nothing is to be rejected, provided it is received with thanksgiving;
Isn't this the truth? God is good. Everything created by God is good. All we have to do is give thanks for everything; the good and the difficult.
If we look at Job who had everything and it was taken away in an instant because God gave Satan permission to test Job. Job's wife and friends said to just curse God, but he didn't. He grieved, he was angry, but he never cursed God. He went through the ultimate dark night of the soul where he questioned EVERYTHING, but he never cursed God and remained faithful. God restored everything to Job, in double.
Perhaps if we look at the difficult trying times as leading us to the ultimate good, we will give thanks. I know for me, when I look back, it was going through the drop-to-my-knees trying times, that strengthened my faith. Those times opened the door to thanksgiving, in everything.
May we give thanks to God for everything in our lives because everything God creates is good. We are good, everything is meant for our good.
